The top of the chedi is covered with real gold. The temple area is surrounded by large and small chedi. It is also believed that the temple houses a tooth of Gautama Buddha. The temple is also famous for a tradition known as Hae Pha Khuen where there is a procession with a robe, known as Phra Bot, which has been joined in a single piece to wrap around the body of the main stupa and the chedis.

Wat Khun Khao Phanom

The cave temple's unique structure with its brick walls is an important historical and archaeological site in the province. Within the temple, you can find 30 bronze statues of Buddha. Ai Khai, Chedi Temple

Ai Khai Wat Chedi is a sacred place that has been revered by the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat for hundreds of years. This temple has a history dating back to a thousand years. However, it was in ruins until it was rebuilt in 1957.  But what makes the temple famous all over the country is Ai Khai or Ta Khai, a sculpture of a boy that sits in the Chedi Temple pavilion. It is believed that a holy spirit resides inside the sculpture and blesses people. Once a person becomes successful, they will come back to the temple and bring offerings including chicken, firecrackers, and toys.

Kiriwong Village

Kiriwong Village is a stunning village surrounded by mountains, lush nature, and rivers. It is a model community for managing ecotourism business. Tha Phae Waterfall

Besides the beautiful coastal view that Nakhon Si Thammarat is famous for, you can also visit the Tha Phae Waterfall. Located in Khao Luang National Park, it is one of the tallest waterfalls in Thailand. The waterfall has a total of 10 cascading levels but tourists are only allowed till the 3rd level.
