When it comes to beer, the price depends on whether you get a domestic beer or an imported beer. A can of domestic beer is very cheap, costing around $0.53 to $1 only while a can of imported beer will cost around $2. A 1.5-liter bottle of water will cost $0.59.

Transportation:

Traveling around the city of Vung Tau is not very expensive if you choose the right mode of transportation. If you are traveling on a very tight budget, avoid taxis within the city limits. Taxis in Vung Tau are rather expensive with prices being a whopping 30% higher than in cities like Ho Chi Minh City. The best way to get around Vung Tau is by walking. The city is small enough for you to be able to walk around without getting hopelessly lost. You can also rent motorbikes or scooters for around $6 to $8 per day.

Tourist experiences:

The best thing about Vung Tau and its beaches is that there is no entrance fee for any of the beaches. You can also walk around and relax on the Vung Tau promenade, a promenade that connects two of the most popular beaches in Vung Tau, the Front Beach and the Back Beach. Most of the tourist experience in Vung Tau is nestled around the beaches which are all free to the public. The only tourist experience you have to pay a substantial fee for is the cable car ride to Ho May Park which costs $1.32 and the entrance fee for The Robert Taylor Museum Of Worldwide Arms which costs $4.42. Other experiences like visiting the White Palace cost only $0.75, the Vung Tau Lighthouse cost $0.18, and the most famous statue in all of Vung Tau, the Jesus Christ Statue, does not have any entrance fees.
