The 3-Day Mekong Delta Tour will start in Ho Chi Minh City and end in Phnom Penh (optional). This tour by BDATrip will help you immerse yourself and witness the natural beauty and the rich culture of the Mekong Delta region. 

Itinerary

Day 1

  • Pick up from the hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh city 
  • Arrive in My Tho and stop by Vinh Trang pagoda the biggest pagoda in the Mekong Delta 
  • Take a boat trip to cruise along the Mekong River. 
  • Explore the small canals around the river
  • Cruise to Ben Tre, get off and enjoy a walk around the village. 
  • Stop at a local family home to enjoy tropical fruit, taste the honey tea and honey wine, and listen to Vietnamese traditional music performed by the villagers. 
  • Check out the coconut candy shop and learn how to make candy, handicrafts, etc.
  • Head to a local restaurant serving local Vietnamese food. 
  • After lunch, enjoy your time relaxing, walking around the village. 
  • Head to Can Tho, check-in at the hotel then enjoy your free time.

Day 2

  • Check out of the hotel in the morning
  • Take a boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River 
  • Head to Cai Rang floating market, the biggest floating market in the region. 
  • Take a walk around the village and see how Vietnamese vermicelli is made
  • Walk across a monkey bridge, made from a single stem of bamboo. 
  • Visit an orchard garden and take a break for lunch. 
  • Head to Chau Doc to discover Tra Su Bird Sanctuary
  • Then proceed to the hotel in Chau Doc for the night

Day 3

  • Have breakfast at the hotel
  • Take the motorized boat trip through the floating village to visit the fish farm and to see how the people in Mekong Delta raise fish on their floating house. 
  • Visit the Champa minorities in their traditional village. 
  • Return to Chau Doc for lunch 
  • Head back to Ho Chi Minh City or travel onward to Cambodia (you will be transferred to the pier to board the speed boat to travel to Phnom Penh)
