Itinerary
Day 1
Pick up from hotel in Hanoi’s old quarter
Drive to Dinh Vu Harbour and take a 45-minute high-speed boat to Cat Ba Island.
Go to Cat Ba town for lunch.
Trek to Viet Hai Village through Cat Ba National Park
Dinner and stay overnight in a bungalow in Viet Hai Village.
Day 2
Breakfast will be served at 07:30
Walk to the top of Marine Hill for panoramic views of Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay.
Return to Viet Hai Village to try a fish massage or take some time to relax Cycle to Viet Hai Harbour.
Board the boat to explore Lan Ha Bay.
Lunch on board followed by kayaking around Hang Luon Cave
Go swimming and snorkeling.
Back to Cat Ba town for dinner
Overnight stay in a bungalow.
Day 3
Depart from Cat Ba town at 7:00 AM
Morning drive to Ninh Binh province
Lunch in a street restaurant in Ninh Binh.
Take a 2 hour boat at Tam Coc to see the beautiful scenery
Cycle for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers, and rocky outcrops from Tam Coc to Bich Dong
Get back to the van and head for Cuc Phuong National Park at 5:00 PM. Stay overnight at the national park’s guest house followed by dinner.
Day 4
Breakfast followed by a 30-minute drive into the center of the park
Do a 3-hour trek to admire the amazing thousand-year-old trees in this oldest national park of Vietnam
Visit a pre-historic cave
Lunch at the park’s restaurant.
Short walk to visit the national park’s primate rescue center and turtle center.
