Potala Palace – The Sacred Symbol of Tibet

Located in the heart of Lhasa, Potala Palace is among Asia’s most monumental architectural achievements and the spiritual emblem of Tibet. Built in the 7th century, it was once the residence of successive Dalai Lamas and served as the administrative and religious center of Tibetan Buddhism.

From afar, Potala rises like a magnificent fortress among the clouds 13 stories, over 1,000 rooms and 10,000 altars, housing countless treasures, gold-gilded Buddha statues, and ancient thangka paintings. The monastery features grand architecture with gilded roofs, a 26-meter statue of Maitreya (the Future Buddha), and thousands of invaluable statues and murals. Visitors can witness traditional prayer rituals and hear resonant chanting carried by the mountain winds—an experience that is both moving and profoundly peaceful.

BOOKING & PAYMENT REGULATIONS

• Guests must complete the registration form and submit visa documents at least 20 days before departure.
• Deposit: 9,000,000 VND per person (includes visa fee + airfare).
• For passport holders exempt from visa or already holding a valid visa, 600,000 VND per person will be deducted.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• After the Embassy/Consulate has issued the visa: cancellation fee is 100% of the total tour price.
• 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour price.
• 16–29 days before departure: 30% of total tour price.
• 08–15 days before departure: 60% of total tour price.
• 04–07 days before departure: 90% of total tour price.
• 01–03 days before departure: 100% of total tour price.

Cancellation times are counted on business days and exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Travel dates may shift by 1–2 days depending on Chinese Consulate visa issuance.
• Prepare basic medications: painkillers, stomach remedies, cold/flu medicine, band-aids, anti-allergy meds, etc.
• It is advisable to train and condition your health prior to departure to adapt to high-altitude climate.
• Guests on prescription medication must bring sufficient supplies and follow their doctor’s instructions.
• Guests 70–under 75 years old must sign a health commitment with the company.
• Guests 75 years and older must present a doctor’s certificate confirming fitness for international travel + sign a company health commitment, and must be accompanied by a healthy relative under 60 years old. Additional premium insurance may be required (fee varies by tour).
• We do not accept guests under 24 months or 80 years and above.
• We do not accept guests who are 5+ months pregnant on international tours for safety reasons.
• Flight schedules are subject to the airlines; departure/arrival times may change without prior notice.
• Depending on local conditions, the order of sightseeing may change while ensuring all listed attractions are included.
• Please arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport – International Departures 3 hours before flight time for exit procedures. If you arrive late after check-in counters are closed, you will bear costs as a same-day cancellation; the company cannot be held responsible.
• Guests are responsible for any violations of immigration regulations of destination countries. If denied entry, the company cannot refund any costs; guests bear any additional expenses incurred. We will support with information to the best of our ability but cannot cover any fees if authorities detain or refuse entry. In such cases, per local supplier policies, no refunds can be issued for unused services.
• Foreign nationals must hold a valid Vietnam visa through the departure date.
• For foreign nationals/Vietnamese overseas (Việt kiều): please verify whether your Vietnam visa is single-entry or multiple-entry. For re-entry visas, bring two (2) photos 4×6 cm (white background) and your Vietnam visa for exit/entry procedures on the travel date.
• We are not responsible for missed attractions in cases of force majeure: natural disasters (storms, floods, droughts, earthquakes), security incidents (terrorism, protests), or aviation issues (technical problems, security, delays/cancellations).
  • If such events occur, we will consider refunds for unused services where possible (after deducting unrecoverable costs such as visa fees) and cannot compensate for additional losses.
• Guests must remain with the group throughout the tour.

If another person registers on your behalf, please ensure you understand all details provided. The travel company is not responsible for extra costs arising from a failure to review the booking conditions, notes, inclusions/exclusions, and itinerary.
