Christ of Vung Tau

Reminiscent of Rio De Janeiro’s famous Christ the Redeemer, Christ of Vung Tau is a 32 meters tall Jesus Christ statue located on top of Mount Nho. The statue is one of the largest Christ statues in Asia and is visible from the city of Vung Tau. 

To get to the statue, you’ll have to climb up a grueling 1000 steps. Once you reach the base of the statue you’ll be blessed with panoramic views of the city. You can also climb inside the statue. There’s a staircase inside the arm of the statue which you can climb to get a better view.

White Palace

White Palace in Vung Tau is a beautiful mountainside villa built in 1898 by French Governor-General Paul Doumer. The 3-story villa takes inspiration from French and Greek architecture styles. Its white exterior makes the villa stand out from its lush green mountainous surroundings. 

Within the walls of the White Palace is a small museum that houses antiques from the colonial period including a few well-preserved cannons. From any one of the villa’s many balconies, you’ll be able to get a panoramic view of the sea and the Christ of Vung Tau Statue.
