Located around 60km away from Hanoi, Ba Vi National park is a popular weekend getaway for Hanoians. The park also has plenty of attractions you can explore like the cactus garden, remnants of an old church built by the French, and the Thuong Temple at the top of Ba Vi Mountain. An overnight stay here will require you to pay a fee of around 50,000 VND.

Tuyen Lam Lake

The stunning Tuyen Lam Lake in Dalat is one of the best places to go camping in Vietnam. Situated 6km away from the Dalat city center, the lake is a peaceful escape from all the noise and cacophony of city life. The crystal-clear lake is surrounded by lush pine forests and hills on all sides. The entire lakeside is a camping ground and you can pitch a tent anywhere you like. If you don’t have a tent, you can rent one for around 150,000 to 200,000 VND per tent.

Da Phu Hill

Just a few kilometers outside Dalat city are the beautiful misty Da Phu Hills. The pine-covered hills here offer stunning views of Dalat city. The sunset and sunrise from Da Phu Hill are spectacular, to say the least. Wake up early at dawn to witness one of Da Phu Hills' most breathtaking moments, the clouds rolling by the hills. This event makes for great photo opportunities or even a quiet meditative moment while taking in the beauty of mother nature.

Coco Beach Camp

Just 3 hours drive away from Ho Chi Minh City lies a completely different world from the city life, Coco Beach Camp. It is one of the most popular places to go camping in Vietnam and is particularly favored by the younger crowd because of its crystal clear waters and white sand beach. You'll find colorful tents and huts lined up on the beach filled with people relaxing or playing in the water. Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is one of the few UNESCO World Heritage sites in Vietnam. The park extends over 123,326 hectares and contains mountains, caves, and tropical forests. The world’s biggest cave, the Hong Son Doong is also located here. One of the best activities to do here is to go camping in one of the many caves located here. The best place to go camping is the Hang En Cave, the third-largest cave in the world. It is recommended to visit and stay in the caves with an organized tour group since most of these caves can be quite dangerous.
