The Duc Pagoda is one of the most recognizable features of Ly Son. Situated atop Mount Gieng Tien, it takes a bit of effort to climb up the 100 steps. But once you reach the top you’ll be greeted by the sight of a 27 meter tall Guanyin statue facing the ocean. From here, you’ll be blessed with stunning views of the sea.
Tho Loi Mountain is the tallest mountain on the island. The mountain is an extinct volcano with a beautiful freshwater lake at the top. There is also a 20-meter high flagpole called the Fatherland flag from where you’ll be able to see amazing views of the cliffs and ocean. You can either hike to the top or take a motorbike.

The serene Hang Cave Pagoda is a must-see place in Ly Son. Located deep inside a cave, the pagoda is one of the earliest places of worship on the island. Similar to Duc Pagoda, there is a Guanyin statue at the entrance of the cave. The pagoda is a popular palace of the locals who come here to pray before setting off on their fishing expeditions.
The To Vo Gate is a natural stone arch and one of the most stunning places in Ly Son. The picturesque stone arch is popular among tourists, particularly during sunset. Its unusual shape, which resembles an arch, was made by volcanic activity millions of years ago. From the gate, you can see stunning views of the ocean and nearby fishing villages.

Besides the various sites mentioned above, another thing Ly Son island is famous for is its garlic. Throughout the island, you’ll find stretches of green garlic fields. The delicate taste and aroma of this garlic make any dish taste a thousand times better. What makes the garlic grown in Ly Son special is that it is grown on the rich fertile sandy soil. You can buy some from the local market to take back home
An Binh is a small island home to around a hundred people. The island is blessed with beautiful white sand beaches, palm trees, and clear blue waters. Swimming here is a popular activity.
