Surrounding the temple is Barkhor Street, a bustling pedestrian area with over a thousand large and small stalls. Leaving the bustling energy of Lhasa, our journey takes you to Linzhi, a region dubbed "Tibet's Jiangnan" for its exquisite natural landscapes. The first stop is Basongcuo Lake, also known as "Cuogao Lake," meaning "green and clear water." Situated over 3,700 meters above sea level, the lake is renowned for its pristine waters and is considered sacred by the Nyingma sect. On a small island in the middle of the lake stands the ancient Tsozong Gongba Monastery, an important Buddhist center with over 1,500 years of history, dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava the founder of the Nyingma school.

Linzhi is particularly famous for the beauty of its floral forests. Lulang Forest, meaning "Dragon King Valley" in Tibetan, lies at an elevation of 2,700 - 4,200 meters. Its temperate climate fosters magnificent and poetic scenery. Depending on the season, visitors will marvel at peach blossoms in full bloom across valleys and hillsides, creating a vibrant natural masterpiece. The Linzhi Gala Peach Blossom Village is a primary venue for the Peach Blossom Festival, where thousands of wild peach trees display their splendor, transforming the entire area into a sea of deep pink clouds. Shigatse Grand Monasteries and Spectacular Glacial Landscapes

The journey continues to Shigatse, Tibet's second largest city, famous for its sacred monasteries and spectacular natural scenery. En route, we will pause at Yamdrok Lake one of Tibet's three largest holy lakes, located at an altitude of 4,441m. From the Gampala Pass, soaring at 4,990m, you can admire a panoramic view of Yamdrok Lake stretching like a turquoise silk ribbon winding beneath the mountains. This is also an opportunity to capture memorable photos with mighty Yaks or Tibetan Mastiffs and behold Mount Naqin Kangsang, one of four sacred mountains with a perpetually snow capped, pointed peak.

Another impressive highlight is the eternal Karola Glacier, situated at an altitude of 4,800m. This massive ice formation, millions of years old, drapes softly like a white blanket from the mountain peak down to the valley. Under the sunlight, the glacial landscape gleams with a brilliant white, creating a magnificent and awe-inspiring spectacle that makes visitors forget the cold to admire and capture unforgettable moments. In Shigatse, you will visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lamas.
